I have two things I would like to do for my birthday. I am likely to do both.

1) Afternoon tea at one of the posho hotels in London. Probably on Sunday 22nd Feb. Will cost in the region of £30 per person. I dare say this might be a bit too much for many but if the idea makes you sqwee a bit let me know. Though I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be forcing Mr Oglesbee to take me ;)

2) On the following Saturday (28th) Dinner somewhere. Chinese in China town and then let people do whatever they want afterwards I suppose.

Let me know what you think, chickens.

Oh and I'm not doing the 21st due to geeky happenings in Reading though if any Reading types want to go out for a few Bevvies, that would be fine by me!

I'm stealing a quick 5 minutes to say "Hello World".

The new job has shaved an extra hour off my day and as a result I find myself less inclined to cook for myself. I suppose this is doing my finances no favours. If only I had time to do the shopping. Why can't shops open longer on a sunday eh EH?!?!?! I mean the proper ones not the tiddly ones.

I am constantly exhausted which is probably due to the longer nights combined with longer hours. I also seem to be walking everywhere which should only be doing me good.

Usually I have a lot to say but I really don't. Work is good because it's challenging. It's a bit weird having to learn intgration with a Java back end rather then .NET but adding to my repotoire can only be a good thing. I am a JavaScript dummy though and really need to get to grips with it.

I'm doing a decent job of not email/facebooking but then I don't have time too anyway. I update Twitter here and there but that is all.

Today I also resisted the urge to dip into our sweet jar, which I've been doing all week but I didn't today. Not once. Ha! Which did help my energy level a little. No sugar crash here!

Oh if only there were more hours in the day!

Randomly, I'm in Reading tomorrow and for the weekend. Does anyone who reads my lj live in Reading? I forget...but Sam and are visiting Arun and Suzie and wah-ing which should be fun :)

*splat*

Brought myself a pretty...

for those who detest imagery )

Brought it for larp purposes, though I have no current cause to wear it. Would not go well with my CP character. Might be good to NPC in.

Also brought some nice pottery drinking cups coz they were only a couple of quid each from the charity shop.

"I thought it was important to let you know that I want to help someone else to live after my death by donating my organs.

Every year hundreds of people die while waiting for a transplant. If I can, I would like to help.

I have therefore added my name to the NHS Organ Donor Register which is a list of people willing to become donors should the situation ever arise.

I registered my wishes via the UK Transplant website. You can find out more about organ donation on their site."

So there your go from the mouth of the horse. This entry is going public so everyone can see it. I've registered before, but I'm not card carrying, nor do I know how to put it on me license.

Oh and whilst we are being trés morbid, I'll have some Keane and some upbeat stuff at y funeral.

Yes this will be friends only except obviously this one to say it is so and the below.

Any non friends posts will probably be accidental.

If anyone wants to know how I'm doing they can ask if they want too. Comment here ;)

Edit: 18/12/2006 - For exceptionally nosy gits, I have an alternative public blog at http://padsprogress.blogspot.com

Leave a comment here if you want adding.

I just purged my friendslist of a number of people who don't write in their's or who, otherwise, seem inactive at the moment. Please don't be offended, and if you decide to come back, then let me know.
